The Cat Herding Enterprises logo has a lot of hidden symbolism.
I would like to share the background to provide you with some insight.
|
|
Colour
The first thing you may notice is the colour. Green represents the underlying philosophical approach
to organisational behaviour that high performing organisations are living systems in stark contrast to
a mechanistic approach. The main focus of CHE is people – an organisation’s optimum performance is
dependent on the motivated efforts of its people.

Shapes
The logo is a combination of several shapes. The predominant shape
is the triangle, in this case known as the delta symbol. The delta
symbol is widely used in management and leadership education
to represent change. CHE is skilled in helping organisations and
individuals in designing and implementing change.
The second shape is the flowing half infinity symbol. This represents constant change, but it also represents a u-turn. The direction of the line starts upwards and backwards before the downturn on the left feeds back into the upward pointing delta symbol – changing direction for positive changes. This is ambiguous for the all important feedback processes necessary for high performing people focused organisations.

Balance
The symbol overall demonstrates a balance and unity. This represents diversity, combining different shapes to make one overall logo. CHE also recognise there is a need for a balance between conformity and performance. |

The Letters
For the more abstract thinkers and art lovers are the hidden capitals for C, H and E. |

The Inspiration
The inspiration for the name came from Warren Bennis's book Managing People is Like Trying to Herd Cats - a recommended read! Also inspired by the fanstatic EDS ad with the Cat Herders - click here to to go to link to watch EDS ad. |
